I can't concentrate in flat places
Handmade book, with silk paper, spun wool, spun cotton, and spun camel. Each page has hand-sewn illustrations and text from thread.; "My own narrative is important to the work I make. In the same way that I won't last forever, I use temporary natural waste materials that will also degrade over time. This materiality and aesthetic help me document my own story and the stories of my Latin family, as I am forced into spaces far away from them."--From the artist's statement.
