Loubières, Jean-Claude, 1947-
Library has 7/40.; "The artist re-uses the same panoramic camera, a variation of the Périphote that the Lumière brothers developed in 1901, he already employed in a previous book project, VISIONS DU DERVICHE TOURNEUR, but this time with 12 different views of cities in France and the U.S., printed in silkscreen. Each image required several passes and therefore several screens: the sky is printed first, then the ground, then buildings and any "accessories": clouds, vegetation, umbrellas."--From artist’s website (http://www.jeanclaudeloubieres.com).; Text in French and English. Translation by Shirley Sharoff.
