"Combining imported abaca from The Philippines and water piped in from the Platte River, I made earth-toned sheets of handmade paper in my basement studio...Illustrations include etchings, aquatints and embossings I created especially for the booklet....The reading matter is chronologically arranged in date from 1968-1983; much of it influenced by the Vietnam Conflict in which I served from 1970-1971."--Artist's description.
