The complicated bicycle
"My first proper book and album. This was a small idea that turned into a huge endeavor. Released by the Hometapes label in 2005, this project crystalized a lot of what I was experimenting with when I first moved to Chicago. Cassette tape loops, deteriorating drawings and beats, found sounds, and geometry. A twenty-four page screen printed book, including an 8-song compact disc produced in an edition of 500."--The artist. Includes a CD called "Automatic Music" with the following description: "This CD is a collection of song bits and sounds gathered from the recording sessions that would become 'The Complicated Bicycle' and 'Bee Removal'. … [T]hese tracks are being offered up as royalty free sound bites. Feel free to use any part of this music in any way you choose; make new music, score your short film. All I ask in return is a listed credit"--The artist.
