"A collaborative sound work…the hour long narrative piece, reminiscent of a radio drama, is based on a series of short, poetic fragments developed during a residency in Marfa, Texas. The work moves the listener along the border between Marfa and el Paso engaging in a kind of visual and emotional cartography." – from the artist. Using a 1960s film with the same name that deals with racism and the complexities of belonging, the work seeks to open up a contemporary dialogue around border landscapes, race, movement, travel and environment. Sound production by Julika; Design and illustrations by Ivan Martinez of Werkplaats Typografie; part of the "Community in Print" series from the Dutch Art Institute. A link to the audio file on soundcloud is provided on the first page of the book. Edition of 250.
