Contact sheet: Buddy Systems, October 23-24, 1987
Performance of Tim Miller's "Buddy Systems" October 23-24, 1987, featuring Doug Sadownick. The performance was part of the month-long series "Works on AIDS" October 1987. "The first Chicago appearance by widely acclaimed performance artist Tim Miller will be on Friday and Saturday October 23-24. He will be joined by Douglas Sadownick in 'Buddy Systems,' a work which explores the need for a new standard of monogamous relationships in the wake of the AIDS epidemic. Miller combines movement, audiovisuals, and straightforward narration to create an autobiographical account of his own socialization, and to outline a way of people living with each other and their own sexuality. --[Source: Event calendar -- October 1987]
