The Diagonal Plane of Opposites, February 25-March 5, 1994
Documentation of the installation "The Diagonal Plane of Opposites: An Interactive Sound Environment," as part of the series "Rapid Fire." Bill Close and Bill Wallace construct a sonic environment of large sculptural instruments of their own design. A thunderous O-daiko inspired drum and long-stringed instruments can be played by viewers and through this interaction, different sonic combinations are generated which trigger sound sensitive light sculptures. This installation was a part of the "Rapid Fire" series, held February 11-May 6, 1994. "Rapid Fire" was a series of short term projects presenting action-oriented installations and events in which the artist participated in a time-based way in the presentation of the work. –[Source: Event Calendar -- February/March 1994]
