"An outdoor celebration of wide screen motion pictures." A project of Randolph Street Gallery and James Bond. In 1989 three films--Akira Kurosawa's Ran, Stanley Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey, and Terrence Malick's Days of Heaven--were shown projected onto a screen in Lincoln Park (just south of Diversey & Stockton Avenue). Audience members were invited to bring blankets and lawn chairs to watch these outdoor showings meant to celebrate 100 years of film and motion picture viewing on the big screen.
