Show more"Ludic Interventions is a photographic index that points to appearances of Silver's ephemeral line in situ across three countries. Engaging with traditions of the flânerie of Baudelaire, to the dérive of the Situationists, to Via Francigena, the traditional pilgrimage walk that passed from Canterbury through Siena on its way to Rome, to the eruv in Israel, these photographs capture performances and placements made during the artist's ritualistic walks over the last year. On her walks, Silver focused on finding physical and/or conceptual lines in space, setting down handmade pieces of porcelain, photographing them, and leaving. The porcelain fragments make up the 'ephemeral line' and serve as the fundamental tools for Silver's drawing and figuring rituals."--From the publisher. In English with parallel titles also in French, Italian, and Hebrew. Edition of 115.
